IMPACT ON YOU:
- You are already paying for Measure H, our most expensive parcel tax ever. It started at $620/yr (increasing annually) for 8 years. This initial cost of this measure was $4960, but it is now is projected to cost well over $5,000. It does not expire for another 4 years (until 2024).

- Not only that, MEASURE N actually increases each year according to an inflation index !!!!
- The tax does not decrease in years of recession, if property values fall or if funding from other sources is more than enough to cover teacher salary increases.
- If you vote to add Measure N to your tax bill, you will add a never ending financial burden on yourself for as long as you own your home, without knowing how much you will pay.
- Shifting the payment of the salaries besides already receiving money from the state is plain wrong and a sign of greed.
- The cost to you increases every year. You don't know how much exactly you will pay each year and you will be doing that for as long as you own your home.
- These parcel taxes are NOT TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
- It increases your mortgage bill.
- Money disappears into the huge budget of the School District (128.1 million dollars/yr), already supported by taxpayers.
- To request more is an abuse of the taxpayers.
THE FOLLOWING CHART SHOWS HOW MUCH DAVIS HOMEOWNERS HAVE PAID SINCE THE PARCEL TAXES MEASURES BEGAN IN 1984 AND THEY HAVE BEEN RENEWED OVER AND OVER. PLEASE NOTE THAT MEASURE G HAD NO LIMIT ON ITS DURATION OR ITS ULTIMATE AMOUNT.
Measure H in 2016 at a cost of $4960 to the homeowners was an abuse of the taxpayers.
MEASURE G IS WORSE, IT HAS NO COST LIMIT AND NO TIME LIMIT, IT NEVER EXPIRES.
AND NOW MEASURE N. IF YOU VOTE YES ON MEASURE N, BE PREPARED TO PAY THIS AND THE RENEWAL OF OTHER MEASURES AND WHATEVER OTHER MEASURES THE SCHOOL BOARD WILL IMPOSE ON DAVIS HOMEOWNERS.
